Real Bride: NATASHA AND TOM

#kindlingbrides

Mr & Mrs Frisco ❤️ Natasha was an absolute delight to make a completely bespoke gown for, for her Barbados elopement with her love, Tom. She came to me with a very tight deadline of a whirlwind four weeks (a timeline I wouldn’t recommend, but Natasha somehow made it look easy, and I knew instantly that I wanted her to be a Kindling Bride), and she had a really strong idea of what she wanted, as she has the most amazing personal style; managing to always look so chic and never without a massive injection of personality, confidence and charm! A dream bride.

Once we’d decided on the design, we created a calico toile for her to try on which allowed us to to check the fit and the style. She went for a structured mini with a sweetheart neckline made using a heavy pure silk mikado, and a removable matching oversized bow with a silk tulle train. Finished off beautifully with an ostrich feather hem.

They planned the most epic *almost* secret elopement to Barbados, which honestly sounds like the most romantic thing ever. (*they couldn’t resist telling their parents a few days before they jetted off, so they could feel included in some pre-celebrations and even come to collect her dress with her and see her in it- so lovely!)

I was so excited to see the photos from their day, and needless to say they did not disappoint - Natasha teamed her dress with the most stunning pearly Sacora Jimmy Choos (and mastered walking on the sand in them, natch!) , white heart sunglasses and a gorgeous neutral bouquet. Tom looked amazing in his maroon suit too - coolest couple ever!

I also made a matching bag as an homage to Natasha’s individual style, made in a gorgeous pure silk mikado and with that super fun ostrich feather trim. It’s the Disco Bag and it’s available to buy here
