Terms & Policy

All of our dresses are made in the UK using high quality silks and laces. We are happy to help with your order as much as we can, please email us if you need any further information about specific styles or if you’d like to receive any fabric swatches.



Dresses are made-to-order, with production starting only once a deposit or full payment has been received. 


A non-refundable 50% deposit is required to start production of your dress, with final payment due when the final dress is finished and ready for collection. An initial invoice and order form will be sent to you with order and payment details - payment of the deposit confirms you accept the terms and conditions. Once the dress is complete, a final invoice will be sent prior to collection. Payments can be made by bank transfer or by debit/credit card in the studio. Final payment must be cleared before the dress can be taken away.


We use a UK standard sizing system, and all dresses can be ordered in any size.


If you order your dress at our showroom, your measurements will be taken during your appointment and we will make the dress in the nearest size.


If you are placing an online order, we suggest you measure yourself before placing your order, and refer to our sizing chart to determine which size to order. If you are unsure which size to order, or how to take your own measurements please contact us at hello@kindlingbridal.com and we will be happy to help.


Your dress will be made in the size closest to your perfect fit, based on your measurements. Once you receive your gown you may need alterations to achieve a perfect fit. If you have bought the dress directly from Kindling Bridal, these alterations are included in the price* (*this is inclusive of minor alterations to achieve a perfect fit. Any design changes, or major alterations needed as a result of changed body shape or different styling choices etc. may incur extra charges which will be discussed before commencement).

If you buy your dress through one of our stockists, any alterations will be their responsibility and depend if they offer in-house alterations or if they have a local seamstress that they recommend. This may incur additional charges that are not affiliated with Kindling Bridal.


If you order your dress online, we suggest you visit your local seamstress who specialises in bridal wear if you need to have it altered.


If you have any concerns about fit, please contact us before ordering your dress so we can discuss and offer help or guidance.




All Kindling Bridal dresses are made-to-order and therefore we are unable to offer refunds or exchanges on any payments made.

Lead Times

All of our dresses are made to order, so once you’ve found your dream dress and paid the deposit, that’s when you can relax- we’ll order fabric and begin construction. This means that dresses can take up to 6 months to make. 


If you’re a last-minute kinda bride, don’t panic! Email us with your dates and we can discuss a rush-order for an additional fee.

Choosing your dress

We really want to help you find your perfect dress, so we will do all we can to help you make this big decision as stress-free and enjoyable as possible. We always aim to create a relaxed, calm environment in the studio, so you're free to make your mind up with no pressure.

If you are unable to get to a stockist, we would be happy to welcome you to try a sample at our studio, which is based in West Yorkshire, UK.


If you're unable to come and try a sample, relax! We can help you out from the comfort of your own living room. Buying a wedding dress online doesn’t need to be scary, we can send you any fabric swatches so you can get an idea of the feel and exact colours. Simply email us at hello@kindlingbridal.com telling us which gown(s) your interested in along with your address and we can send these to you. Video calls can also be arranged if you can't physically make it to an appointment but would like a look through the collection and to discuss your options with us.


Covid-19 Measures

We recognise that this is a strange and uncertain time to be planning anything right now, including buying a wedding dress, but we really hope to keep our brides as reassured and confident as possible with the ever-changing rules surrounding the current pandemic. If for any reason you can't make an appointment, or it has to be cancelled due to Government restrictions, we can reschedule.


If you need to postpone your wedding for any reason and you would like to come back to be re-measured before we start production of your dress, not a problem (as long as we haven't already started production prior to you informing us of postponement).


All dresses are made locally to order, so we pride ourselves on being as flexible and understanding as possible, pandemic or not, so please get in tough to discuss if you have any specific concerns or questions surrounding this.


If you order your dress directly from Kindling Bridal, it's always so lovely to have you visit the studio to collect your dress, just incase you would like to have one last try on, and also because it's usually the last time I'll get to see you before your big day and handing over your dress is one of the many perks of my job!

If you're unable to make it to the studio to collect your dress then that is no issue at all, please see shipping info below, with delivery times based on after your dress is completed:


All gowns will be shipped with tracking/signed for and we will send you a tracking number once it’s on it’s way to you. Deliveries can take up to 5 working days to arrive, if you need yours faster than this please email us so we can adjust the delivery fee accordingly.



 We can ship our dresses anywhere in the world. Please contact us if you’re outside the UK so we can adjust the delivery fee accordingly.


Deliveries outside of the UK may be subject to extra Duties & Tax charges, which are the responsibility of the buyer to cover. These charges vary depending on the destination and are out of our hands.


We will inform you of the tracking number once we have shipped your parcel. 


Kindling Bridal will pack all dresses appropriately, and always send with tracking, but we do not accept responsibility for parcels once they have left our studio.
