How long does a Kindling dress take to make?


It will take up to 6 months to make each wedding dress.




What if I need my dress sooner?


If you need your dress faster than our 6 month lead time, we can try to do a rush order for you – if we can we will. Please get in touch to discuss your requirements hello@kindlingbridal.com.




Where are your gowns made?


All Kindling dresses are made in the UK.




Can I try on a Kindling dress before I buy?


Please see our stockist page to see if there is a boutique near you which stocks our gowns. If not, you’re welcome to come to the Kindling Studio to try on our samples, we are based in West Yorkshire- click here to book an appointment. If you can’t get to a stockist or our studio to try on our dresses, you can order our gowns online. We can try to help as much as we can before you place your order and we will happily send you swatches of fabrics, help with sizing and answer all of your questions.




What size should I order?


Please see our size guide. We use the standard UK sizing system and we highly recommend taking your measurements before ordering. If you’re in between measurements we recommend you order the bigger size as it’s much easier to take a dress in than to let it out.




Can I customise my dress?


We currently don’t offer a complete bespoke service, although we will do all we can to make you happy! So, if you see a dress that you love but you would prefer it with some small changes (e.g. add/remove a sleeve, alter a neckline, custom length, swap a fabric etc) please get in touch to discuss.




Do you do alterations?


All of our dresses are made in your size so should fit you well; however once you receive your dress you may need some minor alterations to achieve the perfect fit. This is not a service we offer and we recommend seeking out your local bridal seamstress to accommodate any necessary alterations.




Can I see the fabric before I place my order?


Of course! We would be more than happy to send you a fabric swatch. Please email us hello@kindlingbridal.com stating which dress(es) you are interested in, along with your address and we’ll send some swatches to you.




How can I pay for my dress?


We accept card payments in our store or via email or telephone. We understand that it can be an investment so you have the option to pay a 50% non-refundable deposit upfront, with the remaining payment due 30 days after the original payment. We don’t start making your dress until we receive the initial payment.




Do you offer refunds / exchanges?


Due to our gowns being made-to-order, all Kindling Bridal dresses are non-refundable/non-exchangeable. We will be happy to answer any questions, send you more information or photos before you place your order- please email us if you have any concerns.




How should I store my dress before/after the wedding?


We recommend storing your dress in a breathable garment bag before your wedding to prevent creasing; all of our dresses have breathable garment bags included. It is important to store it in an area that is cool, dark, dry and free from heat, moisture and insects. After your wedding we recommend taking your dress to a specialist cleaner prior to storage as marks can be harder to remove over time.




I'm ordering from outside the UK - are there any extra charges I might incur?


Some countries may charge import duties and fees that are out of our control, you are responsible for paying these fees.
